Nicky Sigamonie has a diverse work experience in engineering roles. They started their career as an Engineering Intern at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, where they gained knowledge in aircraft systems and collaborated with various departments. They also interned at Gas Turbine Research Establishment, where they conducted analysis on turbine hardware and worked with the ground testing team.

Later, Nicky worked as a Junior Design Engineer at SRI Engineering, providing design support, creating technical documentation, and offering engineering support to clients. They then became a Fleet Manager at Ridely Australia, where they improved operational efficiency and developed maintenance schedules for the fleet. In the same company, they also served as a Branch Manager, managing project resources and improving business processes.

Afterwards, Nicky joined RYVE Pty Ltd as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, designing custom mounting systems and utilizing specific software for design and analysis. They then worked at Mobius as an Additive Manufacturing and Design Engineer, contributing to the development of the Iron Flow Battery Program. Following that, they became a Mechanical Design Engineer at Fusion Energy Group, where they supported mechanical component and system development for the Iron Flow Battery Program.

Currently, Nicky is working as a Certification Manager at Kite Magnetics. In this role, they are leading the development of an Electric Propulsion Unit Certification Program Plan and collaborating with regulatory authorities and internal teams to establish certification basis and ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements.

Nicky Sigamonie has a strong educational background in aerospace, aeronautical, and astronautical engineering. They obtained a Bachelor's Degree in this field from Visvesvaraya Technological University from 2012 to 2016. They further pursued their education by completing a Master of Engineering - MEng degree at RMIT University from 2018 to 2019. In 2021, Nicky enrolled in Monash College for a Professional Year in Engineering. Along with their degrees, Nicky has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and qualifications. They obtained a Professional Engineer certification from Engineers Australia in 2020. They also acquired certifications in Design for Additive Manufacturing: FDM, Strategic Planning Foundations, Managing Time and Priorities, Agile Ways of Working, and Business Problem Solving from various institutions. Additionally, Nicky holds a Verified International Academic Qualifications certification from World Education Services and an Associate membership from the Royal Aeronautical Society.
