Håvard Kindem has a varied work experience in the tech industry. Håvard started their career in 2010 as the Founder/CEO/Game Programmer at Fallen Leaves Interactive. In 2012, they worked as a Lab Assistant at Gjøvik University College. From 2013 to 2021, they worked at several companies, including Norsk Tipping, Visma Consulting, Schibsted, Spotify, Legday.no, and Kitemaker. At Norsk Tipping, they were a Summer Intern, Project Manager/Business Developer, and IT Consultant. At Visma Consulting, they were an IT Consultant. At Schibsted, they were a Staff Data Engineer, Staff Software Engineer, Developer Advocate, and Senior Software Engineer. At Spotify, they were a Senior Data Engineer. At Legday.no, they were an AcroYoga Teacher & Software Engineer. At Kitemaker, they were a Founding Software Engineer. Throughout their career, they have held more than 60 technical interviews, given technical presentations to up to 600 spectators, and built data pipelines, supported content localization and personalization, and developed back-end services. Håvard has also worked on improving user-experience of the provided UIs to increase conversion and introduced Kotlin as a programming language for Android.
Håvard Kindem obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Game Programming from Hedmark University College in 2007-2009. Håvard then studied Economics and Business Administration for one year at Gjøvik University College (HiG) in 2010-2011. After that, they obtained their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Informatics: Game Technology from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2011-2013. In 2018, they obtained a Management Training certification from Advantum Kompetens AB and an Unconscious Bias Training certification from Schibsted. In 2021, they obtained an AcroYoga Teacher Certification from AcroYoga International.
