Christoffer Sigshøj

Co-founder, mechanical & design at KiteX

Christoffer Sigshøj has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Christoffer is the co-founder of KiteX, where they focus on mechanical and design aspects of super lightweight mobile wind turbines. In their role at KiteX, they played a key role in developing a tethered wind turbine design that is more efficient and easier to install than traditional turbines.

Christoffer is also a co-founder and CTO of Canairi, a company they have been involved with since August 2019. At Canairi, they have contributed their expertise as a technology officer until November 2021.

Prior to their current roles, Christoffer worked as a freelance consultant/specialist at Stiesdal Offshore Technologies. Their responsibilities included facilitating wave-tank testing of offshore wind turbine platforms, organizing successful test campaigns, and designing customized measuring equipment. Christoffer was employed in this capacity from March 2019 to June 2021.

In addition to their professional work, Christoffer also has experience as a kitesurf instructor at Surf.dk and as the owner of Sigshoj Surf. Both of these roles were active between 2012 and 2019 (kitesurf instructor) and 2013 and 2018 (owner of Sigshoj Surf).

Christoffer Sigshøj began their education at Helsingør Gymnasium, where they completed their Studentereksamen degree in 2011. During this time, their field of study focused on mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Following their high school education, they pursued further studies at DTU - Technical University of Denmark. From 2011 to 2014, they obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Maritime Studies. Later, Christoffer went on to pursue a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the same institution from 2015 to 2019. In May 2015, they also obtained the certification of Yachtskipper 3. grad.
