Jakim Berndsen

Jakim Berndsen's work experience includes:

- Lead Data Scientist at Kitman Labs since May 2022. Jakim manages an international team of data scientists and uses data science and machine learning techniques to help elite sporting organizations optimize performance and reduce injury risks.

- Data Scientist at Kitman Labs from June 2021 to May 2022.

- PHD Student at Insight SFI Centre for Data Analytics from September 2016 to July 2021. Jakim focused on sports data analytics, specifically recommender systems for marathon running. Jakim published papers at workshops and conferences, and their work won the best short paper award at RecSys 2019.

- Student Intern at ADAPT Centre in June 2015-August 2015.

Jakim Berndsen completed their Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Edinburgh from 2012 to 2016. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Data Science from University College Dublin, which they completed between 2016 and 2021.
