Karen Biggs

Karen Biggs is the Assistant Controller at Kittle Property Group. Karen has over 18 years of experience in the real estate industry, and has been with Kittle Property Group since 2018. Prior to their current position, they held the title of Corporate Controller and CPA at RE/MAX Real Estate Groups, RE/MAX Elite Properties, RE/MAX Legends Group, and Absolute Title from November 1999 to March 2018.

During their time as Corporate Controller and CPA, Karen participated in executive strategic planning, buyout negotiations, and succession planning. Karen also coached new franchise owners on business operations, reading and interpreting financial data, and analyzing revenue streams. In addition, they managed the processing and reporting of $400 million in annual real estate sales transactions and $12 million in annual commissions.

Karen is extremely knowledgeable in various software platforms and systems, including but not limited to BrokerWolf, Excel, IFranchise, Yardi, TrustLink, Streamline, Proseries Tax, ADP Run, and QuickBooks Pro. Karen was responsible for maintaining the accounting system and comprehensive set of controls, as well as the monthly and annual close process. Furthermore, they benchmarked company performance and was responsible for creating and tracking the annual budget. Under their leadership, staff retention improved and company overhead was reduced by 24%.

Some of their many accomplishments include reducing commission payment turn-around time by 25%, establishing the company's accounting procedures and initiatives, and successfully converting multiple brokerages to SaaS software platforms.

Karen Biggs started their educational career at Wes-Del High School. Karen then continued their education at Ball State University, where they received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting Major/Economics Minor. After graduating, they obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant. Karen also has a certification from the National Association of Home Builders as a Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP).
