Lawrence Maxwell

Lawrence Maxwell is an experienced professional in credit risk management with a career spanning over two decades. Currently, Lawrence serves as the General Manager Credit Risk and Head of Retail Credit at Kiwibank since January 2020. Prior to this role, Lawrence held significant positions at ANZ from January 2013 to December 2019, including Head of Mortgages Credit Risk and Head of Retail Risk Customer Strategy and Infrastructure. Lawrence's earlier experience includes roles at GE Capital focusing on risk management and portfolio oversight, as well as serving as Chairman of the Retail Credit Association of New Zealand from 2011 to 2012. Lawrence began the career at NAB as a Risk Analyst and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics and Operations Research, Mathematics Education from Victoria University of Wellington.
