Roberto Interiano has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Roberto began their career in 1992 as a Regional Investment Officer at the IFC - International Finance Corporation. From there, they moved on to work for the Government of El Salvador, where they held the position of Under Secretary of State/Vice Minister. During their time there, they led various initiatives including the free trade agreement with the US and the partnership agreement with the EU, attracting significant foreign investment.
