Huy Tran

Huy Tran has had a diverse range of work experience in the field of software engineering and web development.

Huy began their career at Beau-coup Swoozies in 2008 as a Web Developer I, where they were responsible for building and enhancing the core e-commerce website and tools. Huy developed intricate personalization product rules, custom filtering, and flexible landing pages with dynamic and timed content. Huy also created a backend content and product management system that allowed for visual merchandising, custom reports, promotion management, and scheduled content.

In 2011, Huy Tran was promoted to the role of Web Developer II, where they continued to lead and develop various projects. Huy built a specialized order management system with multi-store fulfillment, improved customer-service flows, tracking updates, rush options, proof verification, tax integration, and vendor-specific fulfillment methods.

From 2015 to 2019, Huy Tran served as the Web Development Team Lead at Beau-coup Swoozies. In this role, they led a team of developers and was involved in full-stack development on the company's e-commerce platform and tools. Huy also oversaw the integration of Beau-coup Swoozies with Gifts For You Now and implemented a responsive redesign of the e-commerce website with modern account features.

In 2019, Huy Tran joined KiwiCo, Inc. as a Staff Software Engineer. Huy later became a Principal Software Engineer in 2020 and then the Director of Engineering in March 2021.

Huy Tran completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from San Jose State University between 2003 and 2008. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including the JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures from freeCodeCamp in November 2018, React, Redux, React-Native Developer Nanodegree from Udacity in August 2018, and Sun Certified Level 1 Unix Administrator from Sun Microsystems and San Jose State University in June 2011.
