Francesco Carloni is an equity partner in the Antitrust and Competition Law practice group at K&L Gates, with offices in Brussels and Milan, since March 2015. His extensive expertise encompasses EU and Italian competition law, merger control, abuse of dominant position, sector inquiries, cartel investigations, State aid, and compliance training. Previously, Francesco served as a senior associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP and an associate at Howrey LLP, specializing in similar areas of antitrust law. Early in his career, Francesco gained experience as an associate in corporate law at McDermott Will and Emery and completed internships at the World Trade Organization and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Francesco holds advanced degrees in law from Georgetown University Law Center and the College of Europe, as well as a master's degree in diplomatic studies from S.I.O.I.
