Matt Norton

Matt Norton is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in real estate law, currently serving as the Practice Area Leader for Real Estate at K&L Gates since December 2011. Norton plays a critical role on the firm's management committee and co-leads the firmwide Real Estate practice, along with overseeing the global Resort, Hospitality, and Leisure practice. Previously, Norton was a partner at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP from January 2004 to December 2011 and at Nexsen Pruet Jacobs & Pollard from September 1991 to January 2004. Norton's career began at IBM Corporation, where work as a Systems Analyst and Programmer spanned from February 1984 to August 1988. Education includes a J.D. from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law and an A.B. from Dartmouth College.
