Oscar Reyes

Oscar Reyes has worked in a variety of roles in the software engineering and development fields since 2016. In 2021, they began working as a Junior Software Engineer for Klar. In 2020, they were a Junior Mobile Developer for Liefery, where they collaborated with back-end developers to define and implement new API requirements, added more extensive CI tests and added Widget tests to the development process, and implemented various UX improvements suggested by their couriers. In 2018, they were a Freelance Flutter Developer for Kissaan, where they were responsible for the front-end development of the GoMitra application, built the initial cattle-tracking facet of the app, and implemented social features such as liking posts, commenting, and sharing posts. Also in 2018, they were a Co-Teacher for Santa Gertrudis High School, lecturing students on various programming concepts and walking them through different example programs made with the Scratch programming language. In 2017, they were a Volunteer Computer Science Tutor for Texas A&M University-Kingsville, providing tutoring for students taking various CS courses ranging from Introduction to CS to Data Structures & Algorithms, helping students break down programming assignments into smaller problems, and providing support for students from other disciplines that needed coding knowledge. In 2016, they were a Web Design Intern for Braathe Enterprises, designing multiple pages on WordPress. org and Wordpress. com and creating advertisement design banners. Oscar also had a Merit Summer Research Program Internship for Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where they did wind turbine research, assisted in the design of a pitch angle mechanism for a wind turbine model, and programmed a microcontroller development board to control the pitch angle mechanism of a wind turbine.

Oscar Reyes obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Texas A&M University-Kingsville between 2015 and 2019. In addition, they received three certifications from LinkedIn in 2017: Networking Foundations: IP Addressing, Networking Foundations: Network Media (LANs), and Networking Foundations: Networking Basics.
