Dan Messenger has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Most recently, they are working at Klarna as a Product Director for Virtual Shopping starting from January 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Product at HERO® from January 2017 to December 2021. In this role, they successfully led the Product Team and the organization from seed investment to acquisition, taking on responsibilities such as Product, Engineering, Customer Activation & Support, Information Security, and overseeing all operations in the UK. Dan played a significant role in facilitating the acquisition through diligent involvement.
Before HERO®, Dan worked at Monitise Create as a Senior Project Manager from December 2014 to January 2017. Dan engaged in digital project management for clients like The AA, Provident Financial Group, FIFA, Santander, Visa, and more. Notably, they contributed to the development and success of the 'hub by Premier Inn' app, which won multiple prestigious awards in 2016.
Earlier in their career, Dan served as a Project Manager at POSSIBLE, a global digital agency, from August 2012 to December 2014. Dan managed projects for clients like NFU Mutual, NetJets, American Express, and Emirates National Bank of Dubai.
Prior to their stint at POSSIBLE, they worked as an Associate Project Manager at Fortune Cookie, a medium-sized digital agency. As part of this role, they managed projects for clients such as American Express, Legal & General, Fitness First, and National Rail Enquiries.
Dan's work experience also includes a role as Service Delivery Lead at The Bromley By Bow Centre from January 2010 to February 2012, where they contributed to service delivery initiatives. Additionally, they worked as an Administrator at Office Angels from November 2008 to December 2009 and served as a Sales Manager at Telegen UK from February 2005 to October 2008.
Dan Messenger completed their A-Levels in IT, Geography, and Psychology at La SWAP from 2002 to 2004. Following this, they attended the University of Sussex from 2004 to 2007, where they earned a 2:1 Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Geography.
