Evan Chong

Evan Chong is an accomplished software engineer currently working at Klass since August 2019, specializing in AI applications such as Person Re-Identification and Ethnicity Classification, collaborating with ROSE Labs from NTU to enhance model generalizability. Prior experience includes a software engineer role developing a web-based user interface for a facial recognition engine, and an internship at ams AG focusing on failure analysis and reliability procedures. Evan also contributed as a project intern at SCALE@NTU, developing an inference engine for sound classification. Earlier roles featured logistics planning for the National Vertical Marathon and military service as a forward observer with the Singapore Armed Forces. Evan holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from Nanyang Technological University and has international academic experience from Stockholm University.
