Dana is a registered professional civil engineer with over 36 years of consulting experience specializing in the planning, design and construction of fish passage, fish hatchery, and water resource projects. He is the Regional Vice President of the West/Northwest Region responsible for Kleinschmidt’s project execution and client satisfaction in that region. He formerly served as the President of R2 Resource Consultants, who joined the Kleinschmidt Family in 2021. Dana has led fish passage studies and final designs and has supported multi-disciplinary teams associated with FERC licensing/relicensing of hydropower projects, federal, state, Tribal, and NGO clients throughout the Western US and Alaska.
