Dr. Volker Klenk

Dr. Volker Klenk has had an extensive work experience, with their most recent role being a Member of the Board of Advisors at YOURCENTAGE since March 2021. Dr. Volker founded Oma Lisbeth GmbH in December 2017 and also served as a Professor at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz since March 2017. Prior to that, they co-founded and worked as a Partner at Klenk & Hoursch AG since September 2003. Additionally, Dr. Klenk served as the General Manager at Edelman from 2002 to 2003 and held multiple roles at Cohn & Wolfe, including Member of the European Board and Managing Director from 1998 to 2002. Dr. Volker started their career at Burson-Marsteller as a Group Manager from 1990 to 1993.

Dr. Volker Klenk's education history began in 1983 at Stuttgart Media University, where they obtained a Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur (FH) degree in Advertising in 1987. Dr. Volker then pursued a Diplom-Journalist degree in Communication and Journalism at the University of Hohenheim, completing it in 1990. In 1988-1989, Dr. Klenk continued their studies at the University of Stirling, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Public Relations. Dr. Volker later attended Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz from 1993 to 1996, obtaining a Magister Artium in Communication Science. Lastly, Dr. Klenk attended Leipzig University from 1996 to 1999, where they earned a Dr. phil. degree in Communication Sciences.
