Pamela Fines

Manager, Edmonton & Geotechnical Engineer, Associate at KCB

Pamela joined KCB in 2002, became an Associate in 2014, and worked in the Brisbane, Calgary and Vancouver offices before moving to Edmonton where she was promoted to lead the Edmonton office in 2015.

Pamela’s experience as a geotechnical engineer and project manager includes transportation geohazards, dams and water projects, and tailings dam design and construction for mining and municipal clients in Canada, Chile, Australia, Papua New Guinea, the United States, and Southeast Asia.

Her key projects include several oil sands projects in Alberta, the Highland Valley Copper mine in British Columbia, the Oyu Tolgoi mine in Mongolia, and the Ok Tedi mine in Papua New Guinea. Pamela is now Engineer of Record for both tailings and water dams in Alberta, British Columbia and the Yukon.

Pamela has a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and a M.A.Sc. in Mining Engineering from the University of British Columbia. She is a registered professional engineer in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Yukon.
