Abd-Elghani Hamiti

Abd-Elghani Hamiti is a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at KMX Technologies. Abd-Elghani previously worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Ceram Hyd SA from February 2011 to April 2017. In this position, they specialized in new technology for the water treatment field and developed a new kind of membrane used in the brine electrolyzing to produce disinfectant and detergent. The same membrane is also used for the production of Hydrogen and Oxygen by electrolyzing distillated water.

At Ceram Hyd SA, Hamiti's duties included designing and supervising the in-house fabrication of brine electrolysers and miniaturized devices for water disinfection in industrial and domestic applications, such as WWTPs, food & beverage facilities, and washing machines. Abd-Elghani also created 3D models and 2D drawings of systems and components, as well as BOMs for in-house manufacturing. Additionally, Hamiti developed and supervised safety and reliability testing programs in compliance with FDA regulations, implemented the industrialization process for the mass production of electrolysers and devices, selected thermoplastics and other materials according to the compatibility with disinfectant/detergent and thermo-mechanic properties for plastic injection molding and FDM (prototyping), and designed modular assemblies for coupling electrochemical units for water electrolysis machines.

At KMX Technologies, Hamiti continues to conduct F.M.E.A activities to ensure product quality and safety, select equipment and instrumentation in compliance with Atex and SIL 2 safety category, elaborate system test protocols for CE compliance approval, intervene on-site for the set-up and start-up of systems and demonstrators, and more.

Abd-Elghani Hamiti has a Master's Degree in Reliability Engineering from the University of Paris XII, a Master's Degree in Mechanics from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC), and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Université M'Hamed Bougara de Boumerdes.
