Mark Hendrix has over 10 years of professional work experience. In 2011, they began their career as a Mortgage Underwriter at Merchants and Farmers Bank, where they underwrote multiple loan types, maintained work flow using M&F Bank's web-based Avista loan origination software, and continued education with computer based and MBA sponsored seminars. In 2013, they became a Remote Mortgage Underwriter at LenderLive, where they underwrote many different loan products, maintained paperless workflow using proprietary software along with industry standard Imageflow, Freddie Mac Loan Prospector and Fannie Mae Desktop Underwriter interfaces, and participated in Continuing Education with webinar training tools. In 2015, they moved to Supreme Lending as a Remote Mortgage Underwriter, where they underwrote many different loan products, including Agency and FHA, maintained paperless workflow using industry standard Encompass, Imageflow, Freddie Mac Loan Prospector and Fannie Mae Desktop Underwriter interfaces, and participated in Continuing Education with webinar training tools. In 2017, they began working at Southern Company as a Help Desk Analyst, where they serviced a large volume of calls diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of technical issues, while effectively maintaining a professional level of communication and reassuring business partners frustrated with their hardware and applications. Mark also worked at Ascension as a Hardware Deployment Tech, where they participated in large scale hardware deployment to prepare facilities for migration to Cerner OneChart software. Mark then moved to APCO Employees Credit Union as an IT Specialist, where they provided general support and used Active Directory, Powershell, Windows Server 2016 / 2012 / 2008, VMWare vSphere 6. 5, FiServ Command Line Interface, SSH, FTP, Ubuntu Linux, Confluence. In 2019, they became a Clinical Information Systems Specialist I at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where they supported Radiology Department information systems in large healthcare environment. Lastly, in 2021, they joined Daxko as a Site Reliability Engineer, where they assisted in ensuring a secure, responsive, and operational infrastructure for both their in-house focused applications and their customer-facing applications. Mark worked with a broad range of DevOps tools including AWS (EC2, VPC, S3, Route 53, IAM, Lambda), vSphere, Chef, Terraform, Gitlab (including CI/CD Pipelines), Github, Docker, F5, CloudPassage Firewall Policies, JumpCloud and LogicMonitor. In 2022, they joined Knack as an Associate Cloud Engineer, where they managed and improved their AWS infrastructure, worked to improve efficiencies by implementing automation and leveraging Infrastructure as Code via Terraform, and worked on an Agile team to quickly address any infrastructure issues that arise and continually improve the reliability of their infrastructure.
Mark Hendrix obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA in Management Information Systems from Auburn University between 1999 and 2001. Mark also has several certifications, including VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization 2020 from VMware obtained in October 2020, AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) obtained in August 2022, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate from HashiCorp obtained in December 2021, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) from Red Hat obtained in December 2020, A+ from CompTIA obtained in February 2017, and CCNA from Cisco obtained in May 2017.
