Jacob C Seidell

Jacob (Jaap) C Seidell is a distinguished professor of nutrition and health at VU University Amsterdam, holding the title of (Distinguished) University Professor since April 2002. Seidell serves as the director of the Department of Health Sciences and is a board member of the EMGO Institute for Health and Care Research. In addition to these roles, Seidell is an active member of various organizations, including the Royal Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Scientific Council for Integrated Sustainable Agriculture and Food, and the Louis Bolk Institute advisory council. Previous positions include a member of the scientific advisory board for the EPODE International Network and columnist roles with Het Parool and Het Financieele Dagblad. Seidell's academic credentials include a cum laude BSc and MSc in Human Nutrition from Wageningen University & Research and additional training at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the University of Cambridge.
