Position Description:

Provide support handling the onboarding and portfolio management of new and existing SBA Lender Client accounts in servicing while ensuring high level of client satisfaction. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of the SBA standard operating procedures 50 57 for SBA lending. This position also requires experience associated with regulatory compliance requirements, reviewing legal documents, SBA forms, including but not limited to Notes, Guaranty Agreements, Loan Agreements, Subordination Agreements, Assignment Agreements,  and must be knowledgeable about eligibility and loan structure In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities, this position will be responsible for helping to build out initial scope of our LSP Servicing Department and must have prior SBA Servicing Experience. Such responsibilities include:

  • Manage communication between Lender Clients and internal SBA Servicing Team

  • Oversee the Onboarding of new client data and legacy portfolio of SBA loans

  • Develop and implement policies, processes, and strategic plans with the internal team to ensure a smooth onboarding transition with each Lender Client

  • Analyze client data and work with the SBA Servicing team to map a strategic onboarding process

  • Develop a complete understanding of Lender Clients Legacy Portfolio and offer insight and consultation to resolve issues with accounts

  • Deepen existing client relationships by continuing to increase the client’s satisfaction with company’s contractual servicing requirements

  • Participate in weekly operational meetings with Director of SBA Loan Servicing to develop objectives and action plans for the LSP Servicing department

  • Keep up to date on Lender Client policies, SBA policies, and laws and regulations that govern commercial lending and SBA lending

  • Align projects and priorities with the assistance of Director of SBA Loan Servicing

  • Ensure exceptional client support

Key Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing the integrity of Lender Client portfolio

  • Review current account status to identify past due accounts and make appropriate recommendations for these accounts

  • Review integrity of loan files and request accurate information from Lender Clients

  • Ability to analyze SBA service action requests and provide loan decisions/recommendations based on file review

  • Assist with making recommendations on loans to liquidation management group for a more in-depth loan workout solution

  • Assist with the review of transcript of accounts and 1502 reports to make appropriate recommendations for reconciliation, if needed

  • Able to maintain and modify loans if needed through ETRAN system

  • Able to identify and review key risk ratings and weakness in loan files

  • Work with Lender Clients and Servicing team to correct any file deficiencies

  • Assist with the preparation of liquidation packages as requested by the Lender clients and needs of Servicing department

  • Identify discrepancies after initial onboarding review and submit requests to internal Servicing Team to process corrections, as needed

  • Ensure provided loan documentation, transcript of accounts, and other deliverables are accurately uploaded and stored in the system

  • Review and recommend improvements to Servicing LSP lending policies and procedures

  • Other job duties as needed to assure team effectiveness or as assigned by Director of SBA Loan Servicing

Qualifications for Success:

  • Bachelor Degree (preferred)

  • SBA experience required

  • Experience in people development and team management 3-5 years required

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent ability to coordinate across multiple teams, departments, and software

  • Strong organizational skills

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of the position are typical of those found in a traditional office environment. Employees will not need to walk significant distances nor lift substantial weight. Employee will need to be able to remain seated at a desk for 8-9 hours in a typical workday.
