Katy Glenn Bass

Katherine Glenn Bass serves as the Research Director at the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University since July 2018. Prior to this role, Katherine held significant positions at PEN America, including Director of Free Expression Research and Policy and Deputy Director of Free Expression Programs from March 2014 to July 2018. Katherine's experience also includes serving as the Director of Clinical Programming at the Center for Constitutional Transitions at NYU School of Law from 2012 to 2014, and as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at the International Human Rights Clinic at Fordham Law School from 2010 to 2012. Katherine Glenn Bass earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor's Degree from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.
