Desmond Namangale

Desmond Namangale currently serves as the President of the Surveyors' Institute of Malawi and the Managing Director at Knight Frank. Prior to these roles, Desmond held the position of Head of the Land Economy & Quantity Surveying Department at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences from March 2019 to May 2023 and was a Land Economy/Quantity Surveying Lecturer at the University of Malawi- The Polytechnic from October 2013 to May 2023. Initial experience includes working as a Valuation Officer at the Ministry of Lands in 2013 and serving as a UNC Project Research Supervisor at the University of Malawi from 2012 to 2013. An educational background includes a Postgraduate Certificate in Property Development & Investment from the University of Cape Town, a Master of Science in International Project Management from Glasgow Caledonian University, and a Bachelor of Science in Estates Management-Property Valuation from Mzuzu University.
