Ines Hasanbasic, PhD, CPA has a diverse work experience that spans over several reputable companies and organizations. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Jewish General Hospital until 2008. From there, they joined KPMG as a Senior Accountant in 2010 and remained in that role until 2016. In 2014, they also took on the additional role of a Sessional Lecturer at Concordia University, which they held until 2017. In 2016, Hasanbasic joined CGI as a Senior Analyst for Accounting Policies before transitioning to Knight Therapeutics Inc. In their time at Knight Therapeutics, they have held multiple roles, starting as the Manager of Corporate and Business Development from 2016 to 2019. Ines then moved on to become the Associate Director of Finance and Corporate Development from 2019 to 2021, and currently holds the position of Director of Finance, starting in July 2021.
Ines Hasanbasic, PhD, CPA, has a diverse education history. Ines obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Waterloo in 2001. Ines then went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Experimental Medicine at McGill University from 2001 to 2006. In 2010, they earned a Diploma in Accounting from McGill University, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accountancy from Concordia University, specializing as a Chartered Accountant (CA). In 2014, they obtained the CPA, CA certification from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario).
