Who we are looking for:
The Individual Giving & Database Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting KNKX's fundraising efforts by managing various aspects of donor relations and gift processing. This position is responsible for coordinating matching gifts, processing donations, managing donor acknowledgements, and providing support for major donor engagement and prospect research. The Individual Giving & Database Coordinator will work closely with the Development team to ensure accurate and timely processing of donations and to provide excellent donor stewardship.

Some of what you will be doing:
Donor Database/CRM (45%)
Donor Services (35%)
Major Gifts Support (20%)
Manage prospect research needs for the major gifts team, including identifying prospects from the donor pool, initiating wealth research, and recommending assignment to a Portfolio Manager.
Prepare comprehensive bios for donors and prospects using a wealth and prospect screening tool, historical data, and other applicable research methods, as requested.
Assist the Associate Director of Development with Lifetime Listener Society (planned giving program) mailings, events, welcome packets, and donor support.
Other duties may be assigned, based on department and station needs.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Customer service experience including email/letter writing and phone skills
Strong people skills – ability to work with staff, donor, and volunteers
Special Notes:
This position primarily supports a team based in the Tacoma office. An ideal candidate will work from the Tacoma office a minimum of 2-3 days per week, but will be able and willing to travel to the Seattle location when necessary. Frequency of this requirement may vary depending on station activities. Regardless, the position requires flexibility to travel to two office locations and event venues as needed. Working from home is appropriate up to 2-3 days a week.
This position requires occasional work during weekend and evening hours to accommodate station needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in business, accounting, information systems, nonprofit management or other related field is preferred. Experience or a combination of education and experience can substitute for a completed degree.
2+ years of experience in nonprofit development or fundraising, with a focus on individual giving preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
Knowledge of fundraising best practices.
Experience with donor and/or customer service including email/letter writing and phone skills for a completed degree
