Jim Birmingham

SVP, Engineering at Knock

Jim Birmingham is the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Knock. Jim has over 25 years of experience in the engineering field, with a focus on product development and management.

Previously, they were the Chief Architect and Vice President of Engineering at FireMon, responsible for leading the engineering team and guiding the company through its next phase of growth. Jim also drove key architecture discussions about overhauling their cloud offerings, integrating a new analytics package, improving access path analysis capabilities, delivering a more competitive risk offering, utilizing a common delivery vehicle, and standardizing their map solution.

Before that, Jim was the Vice President of Engineering at Forcepoint for 14 months. And prior to that, they spent 13 years as the Vice President of Engineering at SecureWorks, where they started as an engineer in January 1996.

Jim has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Jim Birmingham has a MS in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Certificate in High Potential Leaders from Harvard Business School Executive Education.

Jim Birmingham reports to Demetri Themelis, CEO & Co-Founder. They work with Hanna Hilts - VP, Customer Success, Tom Petry - CPO & Co-Founder, and Jack Pritchett - VP, Finance.
