James began their career as an Internal Audit Intern at Columbia University in the City of New York in May 2017 and worked until August 2017. After that, they became a Financial Analyst at the same company from December 2017 to December 2018. From January 2019 to March 2020, they worked as a Senior Financial Analyst.
In March 2020, James joined Knopman Marks Financial Training as an Associate and worked there until December 2021. In January 2022, they were promoted to the role of Assistant Vice President - Data Strategy at Knopman Marks Financial Training.
James Chotiyanonta has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from St. John's University. Following that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Analytics at the same institution, which they completed in 2018.
