Shawn Thomas, Ph.D, EMBA has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Shawn currently serves as a Faculty and Vice President at Knopman Marks Financial Training since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at American Public University System starting from July 2013. Shawn also served as an Assistant Professor and Dissertation Chair at Liberty University from April 2012 onwards.
Shawn has also held positions at Wells Fargo, where they worked as a Regional Banking Branch Manager from April 2021 until November 2022. Shawn was the Director of Operations at Atlanta Unbound Academy from February 2020 to April 2021. Before that, they worked as the Regional Dean of Georgia and Associate Professor of Leadership at Trevecca Nazarene University from February 2018 to February 2020.
Prior to their academic roles, Shawn held various positions at Truist (formerly known as BB&T and SunTrust), including Vice President/Marketing-Business Development Officer, Vice President/Client Advisor Associate Legal Specialty Group, Vice President-Private Banker, and Assistant Vice President-Licensed Branch Manager, spanning from September 2000 to August 2013.

Shawn Thomas, Ph.D, EMBA, holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Organization and Management/Management Education/Post-Graduate Certification in College Teaching. Shawn obtained this degree from Capella University, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. Prior to their Ph.D., Shawn completed an Executive MBA in International Business from Mercer University Stetson-Hatcher School of Business in 2006. Their educational journey began at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Economics from 1991 to 1995.
