Matthew DeGrand has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2006 as an Office Assistant to the Football Department at The College of Wooster. In 2010, they worked as a Senior Healthcare Recruiter at Maxim Healthcare Services, leading process optimization projects and implementing a recruiter development training program.
From 2013, Matthew founded their own company, Bright Matter Photography, operating as a freelance photographer and capturing natural moments with a team of photographers.
In 2013, Matthew joined CEB (now Gartner) as an Account Manager, collaborating with account and research teams to provide customized business solutions and achieving high retention rates. Matthew also co-founded CEB Chicago's Social Committee and created time-management best practices.

Since 2019, Matthew has been working at Knowable, initially as a Manager, Client Services - Projects, spearheading document review and Visual Policy solution projects and developing standard operating procedures to streamline internal processes. Matthew later became a Manager II, Client Onboarding & Implementation, leading the development and rollout of the Airtable for Project Management suite and obtaining a Certified ScrumMaster certification. Matthew also developed a program management framework and project artifact templates to support quick-turn projects.
Throughout their career, Matthew has gained certifications such as CAPM, PMP, and CSM, showcasing their expertise in project management and agile methodologies.
Matthew DeGrand earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a focus on US Government & Politics, from The College of Wooster, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained their diploma from St. Vincent - St. Mary's High School, where they attended from 2002 to 2006.
In addition to their formal education, Matthew has obtained several certifications. In September 2018, they became a Certified Associate in Project Management from the Project Management Institute. Matthew further enhanced their project management qualifications by obtaining the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the same organization in June 2020. Matthew also earned the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance in March 2022.
Furthermore, Matthew has acquired the 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA Air Traffic Control Tower in April 2018. Additionally, they have recently completed the Airtable - The Complete Guide to Airtable - Master Airtable course offered by Udemy, obtaining it in February 2022.
