Gerald F. Vovis

President and CEO of Vovis Enterprises. Vovis began his professional career as a research scientist and a member of the faculty at The Rockefeller University in New York City. He subsequently went into the biotechnology industry, where he has more than 20 years of executive management experience and in the biotechnology industry. He is currently a consultant to the industry and an executive in residence at Connecticut Innovations, where he is providing support to innovative, growing companies in Connecticut. Vovis and his wife, Carol Klail Vovis '65, established the Vovis Center for Research and Advanced Study through a lead gift for the renovation of the Alumni Hall. Vovis received his Ph.D. in biology from Case Western Reserve University.
