Assistant Principal at Knox County Schools

Ches Betz has over a decade of experience in education, currently serving as Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach, and Lead Teacher at Farragut Middle School since July 2011, where responsibilities have included teaching eighth-grade English and acting as a TEAM evaluator as well as Head Coach for Boys Track & Field. Prior to this role, Betz worked as a teacher and teaching assistant at Maryville City Schools from January 2010 to June 2011 and gained experience as an Event Management Intern at the University of Tennessee from July 2008 to May 2010. Additionally, Betz has experience as a substitute teacher for Knox County Schools in early 2009. Betz holds an Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership, a Master of Education in Secondary Education and Teaching, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Lincoln Memorial University and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, respectively.
