Scott Bolton

Scott Bolton is currently the Executive Director of Human Resources for Knox County Schools. Scott has held this position since January 2014. Prior to that, they were the Human Resources Manager for Hamblen County Schools from May 2012 to January 2014. Before that, they were Principal at John Hay Elementary School from June 2011 to May 2012. Scott was also the Assistant Principal at Westview Middle School from June 2010 to June 2011. Additionally, Scott Bolton was a Mathematics Teacher at Morristown Hamblen High School-West from August 2005 to June 2010 and at Westview Middle School from August 2003 to August 2005.

Scott Bolton's educational career includes earning a Bachelor's of Arts in Mathematics from Carson-Newman University, a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Lincoln Memorial University, and ABD (All But Dissertation) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Scott also has certification from the Tennessee Board of Education in Professional Administrator License and Professional Teaching License (413 Mathematics 7-12), as well as UT County Technical Assistance Service in Certified County Finance Officer.

Scott Bolton reports to Bob Thomas, Superintendent. They work with Russ Oaks - COO, Jon Rysewyk - Assistant Superintendent, Chief Academic Officer, and Freddie Cox - CTO.
