Kathryn Montgomery

Kathryn Montgomery possesses a robust background in both counseling and graphic design. Currently serving as a Counseling Intern and SMART Advocate at Safe Harbor since August 2024, Kathryn provides trauma-informed support to clients dealing with intimate partner violence and sexual assault. Previous experience includes on-call support for emergency shelter requests at Greater Richmond Regional, as well as extensive roles in marketing and design at companies such as Koalafi and Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, where Kathryn facilitated marketing initiatives and client relationships through creative design. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Virginia Tech, a Master of Arts in Publications Design from the University of Baltimore, and ongoing studies toward a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University.
