Global People Operations Lead at Kobo360

Rachael Buoga has had a diverse range of work experiences. Rachael started their career at The International Foundation for Electoral Systems, where they worked as a Receptionist and later as a Support Coordinator Operations/Logistics Consultant. During their time there, they implemented efficient administrative procedures and improved job efficiency through setting structures. Rachael also provided backup support for other departments and prepared detailed handover documents.

Later, Rachael joined Kobo360 as an Administration and Human Resource Manager in Kenya. In this role, they managed the recruitment and training of new staff, resolved conflicts through mediation, and provided administrative support to the management team.

Currently, Rachael serves as the Global People Operations Lead at Kobo360. Their responsibilities include managing talent acquisition, performance management, and communication. Rachael partners with business leaders to set and drive talent strategy and develops diverse pipelines for various roles. Additionally, they have implemented a technology-driven performance review system to ensure staff productivity and the achievement of company goals.

In their previous role as an HR Lead in multiple countries, Rachael worked with the Global HR Manager to streamline HR procedures and policies, ensure equal opportunities, and provide support for large-scale recruitment efforts.

Rachael Buoga obtained a Certificate in Coaching for Engagement and Performance from the Human Capital Institute in 2021. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from St. Paul's University between 2018 and 2020. In 2015 to 2016, they also completed a Diploma in Business Management with a specialization in Human Resources Management and Personnel Administration-General from Mount Kenya University - MKU.
