Oğuzhan Özcan

Oğuzhan Özcan is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in design and education, currently serving as a tenured Professor of Design at Koç University since October 2011. Özcan has held various significant positions, including Director of the Koç University Arçelik Research Center for Creative Industries and coordinator of Turkey's first interdisciplinary design graduate program. Notable contributions include founding the first Communication Design and Interaction Design departments and the first user-centered design lab in Turkey. Özcan has also actively engaged in consultancy roles with major companies and has played a key role in the development of multiple graduate programs in design. With a PhD in Design from Mimar Sinan University, Özcan's academic journey spans several esteemed institutions, including Mälardalen University and Yıldız Technical University, demonstrating a commitment to advancing design education and research.
