Cole Miles

Cole Miles has seven years of work experience. In 2015, they were a Math and Science Instructor at Fairfax Academy Elite. In 2016, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Virginia, where they developed and deployed large-scale molecular dynamics simulations and analyzed resulting data to study structural phase transitions of MoTe2. In 2018, they were a Deep Learning Intern at Expedition Technology Inc, where they worked to develop modern object detection models for recognition in 3D point clouds. In 2019, they were a Graduate Research Fellow at Cornell University, where they performed research on developing interpretable machine learning techniques for use in quantum condensed matter physics. Cole is currently a Software Engineer - Perception at Kodiak Robotics, a position they have held since 2022.

Cole Miles attended the University of Virginia from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Computer Science. Cole then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Physics at Cornell University from 2019 to 2022.
