Colin Mann has been working in the autonomous vehicle industry since 2021, when they began working as an Autonomous Vehicle Quality Engineer at Kodiak Robotics. Prior to this, they worked at Waymo from 2017 to 2021, where they held the role of Software Quality Analyst. In this role, they triaged driving events, filed bugs, and wrote reports summarizing autonomous vehicle performance, with a specialty in braking--causes, frequency, severity, and safety. Before joining Waymo, Mann worked at Brigham Young University from 2007 to 2017, where they held two roles: Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant. In the latter role, they worked on several projects in the optics field, including high harmonic generation and free electron radiation, and was responsible for aligning lasers, troubleshooting vacuum systems, machining, experimental design, and data acquisition.
Colin Mann attended Brigham Young University from 2007 to 2015 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics.
