Kelly Slaven, MPH has a diverse work experience in various roles including Patient Experience Director and Lead Patient Advocate at Kodiak Area Native Association, Advanced Sports Performance Coach, Program Coordinator at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, Patient Advocate, Lead Physical Therapy Technician, Online Sales Management and Outdoor Sales Associate at different organizations.
Kelly Slaven completed their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Health Promotion at the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 2015 to 2017. Kelly then pursued a Master of Public Health degree at Rollins College from 2018 to 2020. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they also attended the University of Wyoming from 2012 to 2015. In addition to their academic degrees, Kelly obtained various certifications, including Harm Reduction 101 and Overdose Prevention and Response from the National Harm Reduction Coalition, COVID-19 Contact Tracing from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and sports performance coaching certifications from USA Weightlifting. Kelly is also certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association.
