Lourdes Martinez Medina, PhD, has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research and development. Lourdes'smost recent role is as a Scientist at Kodikaz Therapeutic Solutions, Inc, where they joined in April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientist/Operator-clinical trial manufacturing at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital from January 2019 to March 2021. In this role, they were responsible for manufacturing CAR-T cells for a Phase I study, as well as authoring and reviewing Batch Manufacturing Records and SOPs. Lourdes also played a key role in equipment validation and facilitating technology transfer. Before their time at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Lourdes worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from September 2015 to September 2017.
Lourdes Martinez Medina, PhD, earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry from King's College London from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Neuroscience at King's College London from 2008 to 2009. Lourdes completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biomedicine at Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla from 2002 to 2008. Additionally, they participated in an exchange program at Lancaster University for a year in 2004-2005, studying Biomedicine as part of their BSc degree.
