Benjamin Surmi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in gerontology and community care. Currently serving as the Director of Education and Culture at Koelsch Senior Communities LLC since February 2016, Benjamin emphasizes the importance of dignity and respect within the community, impacting nearly 1000 individuals. Previously, Benjamin held roles such as the Director of Programs and Training, where program design focused on enhancing the lives of elders with neurocognitive disorders, and the Executive Director at The Hampton At Salmon Creek Memory Care Community, assisting over 120 families navigating memory care challenges. With a solid educational foundation that includes a Master of Science in Gerontology from California State University, Fullerton, and diverse experiences ranging from adjunct professorship to culinary services, Benjamin brings a unique blend of skills and dedication to enhancing community well-being.
