David Janik-Jones

David Janik-Jones is an experienced designer and director in the field of user experience. David is currently the Director of UX at Kognitiv Corporation, where they are responsible for shaping and guiding the company's design decisions, leading the design team, and mentoring designers. Prior to this, they were the Owner and Publisher of ArtSpin™, a platform for showcasing and connecting art lovers with artists.

David has also held roles as the Innovation Lab Director (interim) and Design Lead at Sonova Group, where they focused on strategic direction, partner initiatives, and user experience. David has worked as a Senior UX Designer at Magnet Forensics, a Lead UX Designer at TD Lab, and a Senior User Experience Designer at Seekda.

Earlier in their career, David held positions at Primal, We-Create, Inc., and eSolutions Group, where they gained extensive experience in product design, project management, branding, and web design. Overall, David has a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of user experience across a variety of industries.

David Janik-Jones completed their Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree with a major in Geography from York University between 1985 and 1989. David also obtained a degree in Meteorology and Advanced Meteorology from the Transport Canada Training Institute in 1990. In addition, they graduated as a Graduate Jeweller (G.J.) from the Canadian Jewellers Institute in 1983-1984. Most recently, David attended the Communitech Academy in 2021 to gain knowledge in Product Management Fundamentals, particularly focusing on Leadership.
