Simon Samuel

Simon Samuel has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Simon is currently working as the Director of Data Science APAC and EMEA at Kognitiv Corporation, where they lead a team of Data Scientists in supporting global clients to maximize the value of their loyalty schemes and drives revenue within the APAC and EMEA regions.

Prior to their current role, Simon was the Head of Data Analytics at ADA from 2019 to 2022. In this role, they led a team of 60 analysts, data scientists, and engineers, providing AI product manufacture and insight solutions across ASEAN and South Asia. Simon developed various tools and solutions that contributed significant value to clients, including an insight tool to analyze consumer behaviors and an alternate credit scoring system for unbanked consumers. Their work was recognized globally, and they received awards for their advertising analytics product.

Before joining ADA, Simon worked at Malaysia Data Science in 2018 and 2019 as the Director of Data Science. Here, they designed and delivered data analytics and data science training for multinational corporations and Government agencies in Malaysia. Simon also conducted data capability maturity assessments and built enterprise capability training for clients.

From 2017 to 2018, Simon was the Head of Insights and Analytics at Centrica. Simon also served as an Associate Director at Deloitte Digital from 2013 to 2017, where they contributed to various projects in the digital field.

Simon started their career at Lloyds TSB in 2000, where they held the position of Head of Customer Value Modelling. In this role, they led a team and implemented customer pricing solutions, optimized pricing across various portfolios, and developed economic profit models to support decision-making. Simon was also involved in a significant customer analytic transformation program with a substantial budget.

Simon's early career includes working in the Group Finance division of Zurich Financial Services from 1990 to 2000.

Simon Samuel attended Bayes Business School from 1987 to 1990, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and International Finance.
