Matthew Kuykendall

Matthew Kuykendall has worked in the education field since 2005. From 2005 to 2017, they were the Director of Student Life and a Psychology Instructor at Shanghai American School. During this time, they were responsible for overseeing 90+ student organizations and clubs, and they overhauled the previous club system to create one that was student centered, meaningful, and accountable. Matthew also designed and implemented standard-based curriculum and project and problem-based learning experiences for students. From 2017 to 2021, they were the Head of Department for IB Psychology and Theory of Knowledge at The American School of Vienna. In 2021, they founded Educated Consulting, a firm focused on leveraging best practice based research to improve domain specific performance, and they are currently the Lead Consultant. Matthew has also been a Lead Author at Kognity since 2017.

Matthew Kuykendall obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse between 2000 and 2005. In July 2005, they also obtained a Broadfield Social Studies certification from the State of Wisconsin.
