Kirsten (Hasdal) Coenen

Kirsten (Hasdal) Coenen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Kirsten started their career in 2002 as the Head of Public Relations at Liberty Radio, where they determined and researched topics for a weekly show and booked professionals for interviews. In 2004, they worked as a Legal Assistant at Kohler & Hart, LLP. Kirsten then served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Marquette University's College of Communication from 2005 to 2006, where they conducted research and organized data. Kirsten also worked as a Resident Camp Counselor at Camp Nashoba North, supervising campers and teaching swimming lessons from 2005 to 2006.

In 2006, Kirsten joined Tri-County YMCA as an Aquatic Coordinator, where they hired and trained staff and assisted in fundraising efforts. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as an Aquatics Director at Northside YMCA, achieving enrollment goals and leading a marketing plan to increase pool use. Kirsten then became a Program Director/Aquatics at YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee, overseeing aquatic centers and achieving enrollment and budget goals.

In 2010, Kirsten joined Kettle Moraine YMCA as a Director of Youth Development, directing various youth departments and assisting in the opening and management of a Family Adventure Pool. Kirsten later served as a Program & Membership Operations Director, supervising membership and non-licensed youth development departments. Kirsten then became a Center Director, overseeing facilities, membership, and departments after a branch acquisition. Kirsten's last role at Kettle Moraine YMCA was as a Branch Director, where they supervised operations and a large team.

In 2020, Kirsten transitioned to Kohler Credit Union as a Community Development Manager. In this role, they develop and maintains relationships with various organizations and promotes financial wellness programs throughout the community.

Kirsten (Hasdal) Coenen earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from St. Norbert College in the years 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, they pursued higher education and obtained a Master's of Arts Degree in Journalism from Marquette University between 2004 and 2007.
