Cristina Zapata

Cristina Zapata has a diverse work experience in software engineering and development. Cristina currently works at KOHO as a Senior Software Engineer, starting in February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Nubank as a Senior Software Engineer from April 2021 to February 2022. While at Nubank, they were responsible for creating new tools for customer service agents, with frontend changes using Fulcro and backend changes using Clojure.

Before Nubank, Cristina worked at Clip, where they had multiple roles. Cristina started as a Backend Engineer in January 2019 and transitioned to a Senior Backend Engineer in February 2020. At Clip, they worked on integrating backend APIs with the provider, implementing Redis cache, and deploying services in AWS using technologies such as Java, SpringBoot, Python, AWS CDK, and Docker.

Prior to Clip, Cristina gained experience at Oracle as an Applications Engineer, focusing on enhancing Account Receivables in Oracle Fusion Financial Cloud. Cristina also worked at BestCollect as a Software Developer, where they built web applications using PHP, jQuery, JavaScript, and MySQL, and developed an Android app for shipping company management.

Cristina's early experience includes an internship at Elara Comunicaciones as a Salesforce Intern, where they automated employee performance measurement using Macros in VBA.

Cristina pursued their undergraduate education from 2012 to 2016 at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they earned an Engineer's degree in Computer Software Engineering. In 2016, they further enriched their educational journey by attending Czech Technical University in Prague for a brief period. During their time there, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
