Julie Ochoa Kelly is a seasoned educator and meteorologist with extensive experience in science curriculum development and meteorological research. Currently serving as a Science Instructor at Kolbe Academy since July 2022, Julie previously worked as a Curriculum Specialist at Shmoop, where curriculum for environmental and earth science courses was created, demonstrating expertise in educational standards and content development. Early career experiences include positions as a Research Meteorologist at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where Julie presented findings at the American Meteorological Society conference, and as an intern at various national weather services, where valuable forecasting and research skills were developed. Julie holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Meteorology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is currently pursuing a Project Management Professional Certification from Syracuse University.
