Jaakko Koppinen

Jaakko Koppinen is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the mining and construction industries, currently serving as Vice President of Commercial and Distribution Development at Komatsu since September 2024. Prior to this role, Jaakko held the position of Vice President, Sales Area EMEA at Normet Group, where leadership was provided across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Jaakko previously served as President of Underground Drilling at Sandvik, overseeing a division with full P&L responsibility and developing corporate strategies. As CEO of Orica Finland, significant market share growth and key account deals were secured. Additional roles include General Manager at Wihuri Group and various leadership positions at Konecranes and Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy, with a strong focus on business development, product management, and operational leadership. Jaakko holds a Master’s Degree in Materials Science and Rock Engineering from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
