David Ljung

David Ljung currently serves as the Head of Lending and Advice and Head of Communications at Kommuninvest since February 2020. Previously, David worked as a Senior Consultant at Prime Weber Shandwick from August 2019 to February 2020 and held the position of Chief of Staff in the office of the Mayor/Social Democrats at Göteborgs Stad from March 2016 to April 2019, while also serving as Chairman of the Board at Business Region Göteborg during the same period. David's earlier experience includes roles as a Policy Advisor for the Swedish Social Democrats in the European Parliament from January 2010 to March 2016, Second Secretary at the Permanent Delegation of Sweden to the OSCE in 2009, and Project Manager at Skolstaden senior high school from April 2008 to December 2009. David's professional background also includes a stint as a professional football player with Helsingborgs IF and Calcio Padova. Academically, David Ljung earned a Master of Political Science focusing on Public Administration from the University of Gothenburg and holds a Bachelor of Political Sciences from Uppsala University.
