Tapan Parekh

Tapan Parekh has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering, data analytics, and architecture. Tapan is currently working as the Director of Engineering and Data Platform at Komodo Health since 2020. Prior to this, they worked for Kaplan for five years from 2015 to 2020, where they held the role of Director of Engineering, Data Analytics, and Architecture.

Before joining Kaplan, Tapan worked at PwC as a Manager in the Information Management & Big Data practice. In this role, they led information strategy, data analytics, and big data initiatives for various clients in the P&C insurance and banking sector. Tapan joined PwC in 2014 and worked until 2015.

Prior to PwC, Tapan worked at CSAA Insurance Group (AAA Insurance) as a Manager of Data Integration and Architecture from 2013 to 2014. Tapan was responsible for managing data integration projects and overseeing the architecture.

Tapan's earlier experience includes working for Deloitte as a Senior Technology Consultant from 2010 to 2013, where they worked on various client projects related to data architecture, business intelligence, data warehousing, and big data. Tapan also worked at Capital One, Mike Albert Fleet Solutions, The YGS Corp., Cisco Systems, and UNC Charlotte in various roles before joining Deloitte.

Tapan Parekh obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Industrial/ Production Engineering from the University of Mumbai from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, Tapan Parekh attended Bhavan's A.H. Wadia High School from 1988 to 2000. Tapan has also obtained various certifications in different fields such as Generative AI Fundamentals, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Hadoop - Big Data Developer (HDPCD), and others.
