Blake M.

Blake M. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries.

Starting in 2008, Blake worked as a Boat Builder at AirLift Hovercraft, where they completed a Marine Craft and Construction apprenticeship and gained experience in techniques such as vacuum infusion. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a CNC Machinist, independently programming and managing large CNC routers for complex machining projects.

In 2011, Blake transitioned to the role of Project Manager (Electrical Systems) at AirLift Hovercraft, where they managed the design, testing, and installation of electrical systems for hovercraft models. Blake also lived and worked in Zhuhai, China to oversee the migration of production to a new factory.

In 2014, Blake joined Flexicast Pty Ltd as a Customer Service Technician, providing technical support and customer service while also contributing to internal administration site development. Blake utilized spare time to rewrite custom administration systems, significantly improving efficiency and saving the company time and money.

From 2015 to 2016, Blake took on the role of Lead Software Developer at PT BizFit, a start-up where they served as project manager and lead developer. Blake designed the UI, database, and workflows of the system and managed international freelance developers.

Blake's work experience also includes roles at Boeing and the Australian Department of Defence. Blake worked as a Student Engineer and Vacation Student Engineer at Boeing before joining Phantom Works International, where they held various positions including Graduate Software Engineer, Software Engineer (Phantom Works International), and Software Engineer (Project Currawong). In these roles, they contributed to the development of advanced communication systems and led software engineering projects for gas detection systems.

Most recently, since 2018, Blake has been self-employed as a Freelance Web Developer, specializing in the development of custom web apps using various technologies such as Laravel, jQuery, JavaScript, MySQL, Vue.js, Apache, and Ubuntu Server.

In 2021, Blake joined Kompozition as a Senior Software Engineer and later assumed the role of Software Engineering Lead.

Blake M. began their education in 2008 at TAFE Queensland, where they pursued an apprenticeship in Marine Craft Construction & Repair. They completed this program in 2012, spanning a total of four years. In 2014, they attended TAFE Queensland again, this time to obtain a diploma in Software Development. This program lasted for one year. Finally, from 2015 to 2016, Blake M. pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology with a major in Software Development at Griffith University.
