Doug Sams

Doug Sams has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Doug started their career in 1987 as a Chemical Engineer at Eastman Chemical Company, where they gained experience in business solutions and capital project management. Doug later held roles as Global Business Manager and Sales Manager, achieving significant revenue growth and increased profitability for the company. In 2011, Doug founded Rockingham Consulting Group LLC, offering expertise in industrial gasification and providing consultation services to investors.

In the same year, they also founded Carefree Boat Club, a successful boat club with multiple locations. Doug's entrepreneurial ventures continued with the establishment of Rockingham Holdings, LLC in 2006, which focused on acquiring assets to support other growth businesses. Doug also became an investor in Carefree Restoration LLC, a disaster restoration business, and served as a Co-Founder, Investor, and Corporate Secretary at Konexial, a mobile logistics cloud ecosystem company.

Most recently, in 2019, Doug became the Owner of Carefree Equipment Holdings LLC, a company that provides lease financing to Carefree Boat Club owner/operators. Throughout their career, Doug has demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit, successful business management, and a passion for supporting and growing various ventures.

Doug Sams obtained their Executive Masters in Business Administration from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Doug attended this program from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, where they studied from 1982 to 1988. In addition to their formal education, Doug Sams also obtained a Tennessee Contractor License (License number 67363) from the State of Tennessee in February 2014.
